Understanding mosquitoes
Mosquito is a small body small insects, with a mouth-sucking mouthparts; general female blood as a food, the male plant juice
Mosquitoes generally grow into four phases:
- Eggs (development takes 2 to 3 days)
- Larvae (generally micro-organisms, especially bacteria, algae and protozoa for food)
- Pupae (usually 1 to 3 days, will be affected by temperature)
- Adult (male generally survive a week, female survival for two to three weeks)
Mosquito hazards
Mosquitoes cause a certain amount of nuisance to their daily lives and are the vectors of transmission of viruses and bacteria. Besides affecting human health, they also transmit viruses and parasites to animals such as dogs and horses.
Basic control methods
- Remove all excess water and eliminate source of seepage
- Put all the water containers covered
- Replace the water in the pots and pots
- Proper disposal of waterborne items
